Spring

This year in particular the weather in Adelaide is bizarre.. 5 days of perfect 25 degree weather, a hotter 30 degree day and hen BAM - rain.

Today is one of the rainy days and I don't mind at all as I have the hottest umbrella ever.

When I was in Melbourne a few months ago, Chan and I hunted down the cute brolly in the bottom right by Gina & May. My lovely friend Jess has the black and white stripes. Definitely the best brolly's around.

COFFEE

Ahhhhhhh I love coffee. I am well and truly addicted to the stuff. I have my fave places around Adelaide... My morning hit normally comes from Ciao in Adelaide Arcade, or when I'm running late - Cibo on Pirie, and every other day I meet my Ma at Wheel and Barrow off the mall for my soy-latte-no-sugar-loving.

But last week Little Seeds appeared out the front of the Adelaide City Council as part of the Picture Adelaide Outdoor Planning Cafe. Organic, fairtrade coffee. I tried it this morning and damn it was good. Will be returning.

The National

On Tuesday night Dave and I went to see The National at Thebarton Theatre. It was truely amazing. The evening began with New York indie rock bank The Walkmen.. I only knew a couple of songs but man what a voice. The National were incredible. There is something so amazingly sexual about middle aged, dark and mysterious musicians with facial hair in fitted jeans, a shirt and waist coat.. and a voice.. ahhhhh... Matt Berninger, you are beautiful. After he jumped off stage and ran through the crowd singing, he got back on stage where the entire band stood together and finished the set singing an acoustic Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks - no mic's - just a guitar and brass. One of those gorgeous world stopping music moments. Defintiely a show to remember.

I have no idea how I am going to do this since we have our wedding in May followed by a 9 week Europe trip.. but I'm just gonna roll with it. I dont care if I don't finish til im 40.
