Hmm.. so as the hunt for an Adelaide CBD wedding venue continues (surely there is one single place in the city of Adelaide I like?), here are some gorgeous wedding images taken from all over the place that are making me all warm and fuzzy inside!

I love these gorgeous simple pastel bridesmaid dresses, all the same but with different details - the colours look so freaking cute together. And the boys! Hot!

This makes me feel a gazillion times better about having a huge FIVE bridesmaids! But I have 5 besties.. whats a girl to do?! I could have easily had another couple!

Pictures below are from my favourite wedding EVER found via stalking the internet - Kelsey and Brett photographed by Kyle Hale (see all the pics here)

This is the J Crew dress I want! BAD!

Ahhh... loving...

Memories.....

Doing my usual shop-as-much-as-humanly-possible-in-an-hour-lunch-break today, I cut through Gays Arcade and remebered Irving Baby! I havent been there in a million years, after all, I am a clothing snob these days tending to always end up in Witchery, Country Road and DJ's... but anyhoo - when I was in high school and Tafe I always ventured into here to find a quirky Tee or a second hand bag.. I didnt have any time today - But ill be going back in there!! Cue skirt and all!

GOODMORNING!

What a great weekend. Home cooked dinner, terrible DVD and sleepovers with my bestie on Friday night, shopping fueled Saturday, a date with my boy at Sparrow on Saturday night (have been meaning to head there for AGES, and it was gorgeous - it was even candle lit for Earth Hour!), a trip to the nursery and some gardening yesterday and friends round for dinner last night. Gosh I feel great!

Ok.. so who knew Virginia Nursery is like a million miles away?!! I settled on the one at Golden Grove and picked up some Iris, Anemone and Tulip bulbs, pretty succulants and a couple big pots. And it was such a GORGEOUS day to be outside pottering.. literally!

Tomorrow

Tomorrow im heading to Virginia Nursery (which I have never actually ventured to before) to grab some bulbs for two of my favourite nanna flowers - Dahlia's and Hydrangea's. Not that I'm an amazing gardener, but now is the time to get them if you want flowers for Spring! Thinking im going to start them off in some el cheapo pots and then transfer them into the garden bed once they start to grow a bit (and once we get the garden bed finished!). I might even pick up some succulents.. I've been loving vertical gardens and teraniums lately!

Wash then dry

Cutest teatowels i've ever seen!

Puddin'head - hand printed in Sydney, Australia. $30 each.

Art Attack

We received a generous Ikea voucher for our engagement, so I decided - frames! But what to put in the frames? We are a bit on the tighter side of life with the impending America trip, so it was DIY or nothing. I did some random google searches and somehow framing random objects came into my head. After scribbling down ideas and a stroll through the discount store, coloured pencils seemed the only way to go! It was my intention to hang it above my desk in the office, but somehow it found itself onto the living room wall - and it totally changes and brightens up the space!

Maiike me a teddy bear!

Oh how freaking gorgeous is this teddy bear I got Jess for her baby shower! Its by Melbourne kids Maiike. I emailed Aly and Feride what I was kind of looking for, but in the end they custom made this sweet, sweet little bear. Kinda wanted to keep it!

Only two more months until the little baby girl comes into the world. I am so freaking excited to meet her!

I need some god damn thank you cards!

I have spent 2 weeks trying to find some thank you cards that werent a) hideous or b) expensive.

All I can find are these Kikki.K ones which I dont even like, and still seem like a bit of a rip off.

I attempted to make my own on the weekend but they were so fiddly, and I just cant be bothered! Even a quick Etsy search for 'printable thank you cards' came up with not much other than a bunch of crap that was made up in Microsoft Word.

Just another thing to add to the log book of things that arent available in Adelaide!

Jules

I'll be honest, I really don't know enough about politics. I understand the basic system of how it all works, but I'm not great with world issues and dealing with them. I am a bit of a fence sitter.. I watch Q&A or see an interview and warm to someone, and when I say out loud, "I actually really like Joe Hockey", someone will arc up and tell me how he is a slime ball.. and then I go back to the fence and just sit there for a while.

I don't know how I feel about Julia Gillard. It is amazing for women that we have a female Prime Minister. Yes, she has an even more annoying voice than John Howard, but she comes across warm, and genuine, and she openly enjoys a beer - the kind of qualities I like in a person - who knows if thats a good thing for someone who runs the country? But one thing I do know are words. And whether genuine or not, whatever happened previously, these are fine words spoken to American Congress..

"In both our countries, true friends stick together - in both our countries real mates talk straight,

So as a friend I urge you only this - be worthy to your best traditions. Be bold."

Bad, bad Leah...

Oops! I acidentally bought these two beauties in my lunch break (working in the city is evil!!)

With our trip to the States coming up, I dont want to have even one day where I'm stuck for comfy, stylish stuff to wear.. and this super cute red jumper fit so great I couldnt deny! The tights are amazing too.. they are actually completely black but I lightened the pic so you can see the detail. Im thinking perfect plane pants!

Too young to grow old..

Im not normally a negative person who makes public negative comments, but im about to.

I love Witchery and a lot of the stuff they have on offer, but seriously - Witchery Kids - you have gone too far! Check out 5 and half year old 'recruit' Jasmin, her favourite piece being the 'Kahki Jacket', and her canvas satchel - what does she carry in there? My Little Pony and a fruit box? And since when did little girls need a 'look'?

Although these kids a super cute, their stone cold model poses are just wrong.. there are enough problems in this world for kids with low self esteem, weight and identity issues - just let these little kids be kids! In whatever freaking 'look' they want to go for!
